Add a baseplate to your camera with this Lightweight Magnesium Alloy Baseplate with Dual 15mm LWS Rod Clamp from SmallRig. The baseplate provides the convenience of a Manfrotto-type quick release plate, 15mm LWS rod support, and an ARRI-standard dovetail mount on the base. Weighing only 9.5 oz, the baseplate is constructed with a magnesium-aluminum alloy that is approximately 40% lighter than standard aluminum material.

This baseplate system features a Manfrotto-style quick release plate with rubber padding on top of the plate to prevent twisting and scratching. The ARRI-standard dovetail base allows you to mount the baseplate on a variety of tripods and camera rigs. There are also several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories such as other quick release plates and dovetails.

A detachable riser pad is included to install between the base and the top quick release mount to ensure the lens is at the proper height for a support or adapter when mounted on 15mm rods. The dual 15mm LWS rod clamp in the base fastens separately available rods with easy-to-use thumb-lever locks, and it allows you to mount optional accessories such as a lens support, matte box, or follow focus motors onto your rig.
